The Check Out Memo process is designed for maids with valid permits returning to their home country due to contract completion, disciplinary issues, or early contract termination.
The Migrant Repatriation Programme caters to maids or foreign workers without valid permits needing to return home due to overstays, illegal entry or violating pass regulations.

Migrant Repatriation Programme (PRM)

The Migrant Repatriation Program is a Government initiative for foreigners who commit certain immigration offenses to return to their country of origin voluntarily by offering a lower compound rate.

The registration period for the implementation of this program starts on 1st March 2024 until 31st December 2024.

Step 1

Prepare worker's own valid passport or travel document

Step 2

Buy a return ticket to the country of origin for the worker.

Step 3

Report to the Immigration Enforcement Division office with a return ticket to the home country, with the travel date not exceeding 14 days from the date of reporting to the office.

Step 4

Make Payment. Compound payment can only be made via credit card, debit card, or Touch 'n Go e-wallet.

Check Out Memo (COM)

Check Out Memo is a mandatory document for every foreign workers holding a valid Temporary Employment Visit Pass (PLKS) when they are passing through immigration custom while going back to their origin country after finishing their employment contract or early termination of their contract.

In most of the case, Check Out Memo can only be applied through Immigration Online Portal (e-PLKS@JIM). This requires employer to attend to the Immigration Department counter to apply and register for an online portal account.
